2019 Preview | Colorado Rapids eMLS Player | Connor Buckley -

In 2018, Connor Buckley represented the Rapids in eMLS Cup and the eMLS All-Star Challenge. He battled Rapids players Jack Price and Edgar Castillo in a friendly World Cup FIFA 18 preview. The Arizona native also raised over $3,000 during a 15-hour charity stream on behalf of the “Support the Fords” initiative. Finally, he appeared on Rapids social and digital platforms from Twitch to Twitter and in person during live events and pregame shows.

So, what does 2019 hold for the competitive gamer, streamer & content creator?

Buckley’s season starts off with a bang in January…

In 2019, as part of the new eMLS League Series presented by PlayStation, Buck will head to LA to take on the best professional FIFA players in eMLS at the League Series One event on January 22. He'll then head to Texas in mid-February for eMLS Series Two. Seeding for eMLS Cup is on the line in both League Series events. He’ll follow that up with a trip back to PAX East and the 2019 eMLS Cup presented by PlayStation.

“I’m a huge fan of the new eMLS format that includes league series before the final competition at PAX East," Buckley said. "I think it allows each player to learn their opponents and perfect their individual team to best fit their play style by adding multiple competitions.”

He’ll challenge players on and off the field…

In addition to his gaming and streaming duties on a day-to-day basis, Buckley will take on Rapids players in real-life skills challenges and online FIFA matches. He’ll also stream from his personal Twitch as a member of the club and will occasionally take on other eMLS pros from around the league.

One of my favorite parts about last season was being able to interact & create friendships with the first team players," Buckley said. "I’ve always believed the best content happens when people have good chemistry, and having that experience of working with the guys last year, I believe we’ll produce some of the best content the MLS will see this year.”

He’s helping the club & MLS push the boundaries when it comes to eSports…

As a leading voice and influencer in the eSports community, Buck continues to push the envelope in the digital content and gaming world. As he continues to grow his audience and following, he's ready for the new challenge presented by the 2019 eMLS League Series.

“This season i’m going to be promoting/representing the league and the MLS to the best of my ability. This includes myself performing to the standard that I believe I can at these events as well," said Buckley. "I think last season was an incredible start for the eMLS and i’m excited to see the new heights it will reach this year.”
