Colorado Rapids announce 2020 MLS regular season schedule -

The Colorado Rapids announced today their 2020 Major League Soccer regular season schedule.


The Rapids will kick off the 25th MLS season with a trip to D.C. United on February 29 (11:00 AM MT) before returning to Colorado for their home opener at DICK’s Sporting Goods Park on Saturday, March 7 (7:00 PM MT). Robin Fraser’s side will play 34 regular season matches in 2020—17 at home and 17 on the road. The club will face each Western Conference opponent twice, home and away, for a total of 24 matches, and then an additional 10 matches against Eastern Conference opponents.


Notable matchups on the Rapids’ 2020 schedule include the Rocky Mountain Cup series against regional rivals Real Salt Lake (April 11 at RSL and Aug. 22 at home), the annual 4thFest on July 4 against New York Red Bulls and the club’s first MLS contest against expansion side Nashville SC (August 9). The Rapids will close out the regular season with a Decision Day trip to the San Jose Earthquakes on Sunday, October 4. The full 2020 regular season schedule is available at (HERE).


In addition to the 34 regular season contests, Colorado will also participate in the 2020 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Scheduling information for the tournament will be announced by US Soccer at a later date.
