2017.10.23 POTM

Nominees for the Colorado Rapids HealthONE Player of the Month are here! Be sure to vote for the player you think is most deserving of the honors following the month of September. The winner will be announced on Thursday, October 26.

Joshua Gatt has been a spark in the Rapids offense over the past month. His early goal against Real Salt Lake helped seal a crucial 1-0 home win for the Burgundy Boys on October 15, which earned him HealthONE Man of the Match. A week earlier, Gatt delivered the helper to Stefan Aigner’s goal in the match against FC Dallas. In all, Gatt started in three matches, won 15 duels and dribbled past eight defenders.

Stefan Aigner picked up where he left off in September as he tallied his second goal in the 1-1 draw with FC Dallas. In 15th minute, Aigner put the home side ahead as he slotted a give-and-go past Dallas goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez. He played 264 minutes, created five chances and had an 82 percent passing accuracy.

The third nominee for the October POTM is Tim Howard. Overall, Howard played 180 minutes, earned a clean sheet against Real Salt Lake and faced 64 shots, 84 crosses and had 10 saves.
