COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Rapids Academy midfielder Sebastian Siegler was named to the Australian U-17 Men’s National Team, Football Australia announced. Siegler is joining the group for their upcoming appearance in the U-17 Copa España 2026 in Salou, Spain under Head Coach Carl Veart from September 21 to October 1.
Siegler, 17, and The Joeys will start their slate of matches in the tournament against Panama on September 24. The group will then play their second guaranteed match of the tournament against Morocco on September 26.
The call-up marks Siegler’s first international selection since joining Rapids Academy. Since arriving in Colorado, the midfielder has continued to make an impact across both the Rapids Academy U-18 side and Rapids 2, splitting his time between the two teams throughout the 2026 season. At the professional level, Siegler has recorded 860 minutes across 13 appearances for Rapids 2 and starting in each of the club’s last seven matches.
