COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Rapids Academy players Luke Dixon and Zamir Ramirez Valenzuela, have been called up to the United States U-14 Boys National Team for their upcoming National ID Camp. The call up marks the first for both players at this level within the U.S. youth international system.
Dixon and Valenzuela will join the group from May 8 to 13 at the Arthur M. Blank U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Both players got their start with Rapids Academy through the Futures program at the U11 and U12 age groups. After spending time with their local clubs, the pair joined the Academy completely at the U13 level. Recently, both Dixon and Valenzuela participated in the Generation adidas Cup, where they played up a level with the U15 group for the entirety of the tournament.
