Marc Burch has been named among the 18 for MLS Team of the Week, following last Saturday’s 2-2 draw at home to Minnesota United FC.
Burch tallied his first assist of the new season against the league’s newcomers, sending over the inch-perfect cross for Marlon Hairston to score his opening goal of the season, and the Rapids’ second of the night.
The Rapids’ left-back, who made MLS Team of the Week on two occasions in 2016, provided plenty of threat at the weekend. He earlier offered Dominique Badji a chance to add to his strike with another fine delivery from the flanks. On that occasion, though, Badji nodded the ball just wide.
