MLS EXPERIENCE

2016

  • He made his Rapids debut as a substitute for Shkëlzen Gashi after 73 minutes of the 1-0 win over Toronto FC (April 2) at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
  • Spent time on loan at USL club Colorado Springs Switchbacks, scoring for them in a 1-0 home win over Tulsa Roughnecks (August 11).
  • Doyle made only three substitute appearances for a total of 23 minutes.
  • His last appearance of the 2016 regular season was April 16 and the 2-1 home win over New York Red Bulls.

2015

  • In his third season with D.C. United, Doyle was a regular contributor off the bench and part-time starter in multiple competitions.
  • He scored twice in two games against Chicago, in a 3-1 win on June 3 and the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win on June 24.
  • Doyle had an assist in a 3-1 overtime win over Pittsburgh in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and he made four appearances (two starts) in the group stage of the 2015-16 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, scoring in a 2-0 win over Árabe Unido on September 15 and in a 3-0 win over Montego Bay United on August 25.

2014

  • In his second season with the Black-and-Red, Doyle finished with 17 appearances (one start), recording 301 minutes.
  • On August 4, Doyle underwent season-ending right knee surgery after suffering an injury in training.

2013

  • He trained with the Colorado Rapids from the end of May to mid-July, initially to maintain fitness at the end of the English season but with a view to a possible loan move. He was eventually acquired by D.C. United on July 18, 2013, via a lottery.
  • While representing the Black-and-Red, the striker made 14 regular season appearances (8 starts), recording two goals and one assist.
  • Doyle's first goal came against the Montreal Impact on 8/3, finishing a James Riley cross on a one-touch finish. His goal put D.C. United 2-1 up, and he then provided the assist on Jared Jeffrey's goal for a 3-1 win at RFK.
  • His second goal came against the Impact as well, tying the match on 8/17 at 1-1, but Montreal found the game-winner minutes later.
  • Doyle also made two appearances in United’s run to Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup glory, coming on as a substitute in both the semifinal and final.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL

  • After one semester at Creighton University, Doyle signed his first professional contract with Derby County (English Championship), after a trial period with the club, on August 6, 2010. He spent three seasons with ‘The Rams’ featuring in 22 Championship games in addition to appearances in the FA Cup and League Cup.
