Kirovski Scores For Third Straight Game as Rapids Rally For 2-2 Tie Against DallasJovan Kirovski Named Man of the Match as He Leads Colorado's Comeback; Rapids Striker Now Has Goals in Three Straight GamesDENVER (April 15 2006) – The Colorado Rapids came from behind to earn a point tonight against FC Dallas. Jovan Kirovski netted his third goal in as many games as Colorado rebounded from a 2-0 deficit to score two unanswered goals and stay unbeaten at INVESCO Field in 2006.(To view video highlights from this match CLICK HERE). The Rapids conceded the first goal for the third time this season on a free kick in the 5th minute. A foul by Chris Wingert gave the visitors a free kick about 27 yards from goal. Greg Vanney stepped up and hit a rocket with his left foot that beat Joe Cannon to his left for his first goal in an FC Dallas uniform. Dallas went up 2-0 in the 25th minute when Roberto Mina scored his second goal of the year on a shot from 30 yards out which hit the inside of Cannon's goalpost and bounced into the goal. The Rapids got on the board in the 39th minute when Jovan Kirovski scored the first penalty kick goal in MLS this year. Clarence Goodson gave up the kick when he handled the ball in his pentaly area. Kirovski recorded his third goal in three straight games as he hammered the ball to the right while Dallas's keeper Dario Sala dove to the left. Colorado was able to equalize three minutes into first half stoppage time when Terry Cooke played a ball across the face of the goal. Goodson slid to clear the ball but only redirected it into the back of his own net to level the score at 2-2. Nicolas Hernandez nearly gave Colorado the lead just minutes into the second half when he beat several Dallas defenders and cut back into the middle but his shot went right of Sala's net. The Rapids will take a week off from MLS action before returning to league play on Saturday April 29 when they take on Western Conference rivals the Houston Dynamo at 7 p.m. at INVESCO Field. All kids 16 and under get a free ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket for this Rapids Kids Night game.Next Saturday during their bye weekend the Rapids will play an exhibition match against the Colorado School of Mines.
