Goal Bassett

Homegrown midfielder Cole Bassett continued his productive season in the Rapids' last match, recording a goal and an assist in the 5-0 victory over San Jose on September 23. The Littleton, Colorado, native is tied with Jack Price for the team lead with four assists, a career-high. Bassett is also tied with Jonathan Lewis for the team lead with five goals. The Homegrown's influence has been felt across the field, with Bassett ranking in the top-five in MLS in distance covered, averaging 11.29 km per 90 minutes (min. 500 minutes). He

Potential MLS Debut

The Rapids called up Matt Hundley ahead of Saturday's match against SKC, and an appearance would mark his MLS debut.

The Youth Movement Continues to Manifest Results 

In their win over San Jose, the Rapids fielded the second-youngest starting lineup among all MLS team in 2020 (23.7 years average). The match marked the sixth game in the last seven in which a Rapids Homegrown has scored or assisted. With Cole Bassett's game-winner against LA Galaxy, Bassett and Sam Vines became the first Rapids Homegrown duo to combine for an MLS goal in club history. Robin Fraser's Success 

Colorado's offensive makeover has continued under head coach Robin Fraser. The Rapids have scored 13 goals in their last four games, which is the most in the regular season since the Rapids scored 13 goals in four games from April 19, 1998 to May 6, 1998. Twelve Rapids have contributed to those goals, including six players aged 23 or younger. The club also currently has the second-highest passing accuracy in the league at 84.5 percent, trailing behind only Toronto (85.1).
