Elliot Prost

Assistant Coach

Elliot Prost joined the Colorado Rapids in November of 2021 and currently serves as first team assistant. Before joining the first team technical staff, Elliot worked 4 seasons in the as head coach for the U17 and U18 age groups. In addition to his head coaching duties, Elliot was the technical lead for the Audi Online Program and oversaw training methodology for the Academy.

Elliot’s coaching career spans over eight years and includes roles as collegiate assistant coach (Fort Lewis College), Technical Director (Rush Soccer), Director of Coaching (Colorado Rush) and head coach and phase lead at IMG Academy (2021).

Elliot has been a head coach in USL League 2, Development Academy and MLS NEXT. He directed club teams to several State Cups, playoff berths and in his club experience and mentorship has helped the development of many professional players.

Originally from Nevers, France, Elliot's playing career started in his local hometown club (Nevers FC) before moving to Dijon Football Cote d’Or (French L2) to join the professional and residential academy. Elliot played in the top tier of youth football in France between the ages of 14 and 19 and with the reserve team in the French 4th their (N2). In 2007, Elliot represented France in a UNSS World Cup in Antalya, Turkey.

In 2011, he moved to the USA to pursue his playing career and further his education. He played collegiately at Fort Lewis College (NCAA DII). In 2015, he graduated with a bachelor's in psychology specialized in athlete performance.

He continued to play in the USL/PDL for FC Tucson, Albuquerque Sol and Oklahoma Energy

In 2023, Elliot participated in the Elite Formation Coaching License in partnership with MLS and the French Football Federation. He earned the prestigious diploma in 2024. In addition to the EFCL, Elliot holds a USSF A License.
