All four Colorado Rapids players on loan at the Charlotte Independence saw minutes on Saturday in a 2-0 loss at Charleston Battery.

Goalkeeper Andrew Dykstra and striker Caleb Calvert went the distance, while Sam Vinesand Ricardo Perezplayed 40 and 17 minutes respectively.

The Rapids’ USL affiliate finished the game with 10 men after Henry Kalungi was dismissed for a second bookable offense.

Charlotte have now gone five games without a win, and 365 minutes since scoring their last goal. They will hope all that changes on Saturday, when they host FC Cincinnati.

Mike da Fonte was involved a tremendous tussle for Phoenix Rising FC against LA Galaxy II last Friday night. Phoenix found themselves 3-1 down at halftime but stormed back with three unanswered goals after the break to win 4-3. The winner came from the penalty spot, off the boot of Didier Drogba.

Phoenix play again on Wednesday, when they travel to Oklahoma City Energy, before a game at Tulsa Roughnecks on Saturday.
