Nominees for the Colorado Rapids HealthONE Player of the Month are here! The three players up for the award are Cole Bassett, Jack Price and Tim Howard.

Cole Bassetthas made a name for himself this month. The 17-year-old midfielder made his first MLS start on October 13 against Minnesota United FC. During his first 90 minutes, Bassett opened some eyesamong Rapids fans and across the league as he showed a soccer IQ and technical ability well beyond his years, earning him MLS Team the of the Week honors. Two weeks later, he earned his third career start on Sunday, October 28 against FC Dallas. He notched his first MLS goal in the Rapids 2-1 win over FC Dallas and became the youngest player in club history to score a goal. Overall, Bassett made appearances in all four games this month, he played a total of 280 minutes, created three chances, completed 165 passes with a 83.64 percent accuracy and made 30 defensive plays (duels, tackles, blocks, interceptions and clearances).
Jack Price was an instrumental part of the team success in October, as he tallied 233 passes with a 87.12 percent passing accuracy. Price also created three chances in the attack this month. Overall, the Englishmen made three appearances, played a total of 270 minutes and made 24 defensives actions (duels, tackles, blocks, interceptions and clearances).
The final nominee for the HealthONE Player of the Month is Tim Howard. The captain had a superb month between the sticks as he earned two back-to-back clean sheets. The USMNT team legend had a stellar four-save performance at San Jose on October 21 to keep the Quakes off the scoresheet. Overall, Howard made 11 saves, eight inside the 18-yard-box and three on shots from outside the box. He finished third in MLS for most saves in October behind Evan Bush of Montreal and David Bingham of the LA Galaxy.
