So far, so good for the Rapids in 2020.
The team fought back to earn three points with a 2-1 victory in the opening match of the season on the road against D.C. United. Now, two members of the organization have been named to the MLS Team of the Week (Week 1) presented by Audi.
Head coach Robin Fraser was named Coach of the Week for his efforts in leading the team to the come-from-behind victory. Fraser made three offensive-minded subs in the second half, which played a huge role in propelling the team to victory. One of those substitutions, Jonathan Lewis, netted the game-winning goal in the 92nd minute.
The new Colorado captain Jack Price also earned a bench spot for Team of the Week. Price continued to showcase his consistent play in central midfield and had a beautiful assist on Rapids first goal, a cross that was headed in by Kei Kamara.
