Robin Fraser will make his emotional return to BMO Field, where he was a Toronto FC assistant, to lead his suddenly surging Colorado Rapids against the Reds Sunday afternoon.

The Rapids (10-14-6) have won all three games since Fraser left Toronto to become the Rapids head coach, including a 2-1 win over the LA Galaxy Wednesday at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park. All three goals came in a wild final 11 minutes. Cole Bassett broke the scoreless stalemate in the 79th minute before Giancarlo Gonzalez leveled three minutes later. Nicolás Mezquida then scored the winner from the penalty spot five minutes from full time after Andre Shinyashiki was tripped during a slaloming run in the 18-yard box.

Toronto FC (11-10-9) moved into fourth place in the Eastern Conference and extended an unbeaten streak to six matches following a 1-1 midweek draw against New York City FC at Yankee Stadium. Alejandro Pozuelo canceled Alexandru Mitrita's early goal with a 40th-minute equalizer from the penalty spot. He had a chance for the rare PK brace, but was denied by a diving Sean Johnson in the 78th minute.
