Colorado Rapids have announced their upcoming 2016 preseason schedule with trips to San Diego, Sacramento and Tucson. The team reported back to Colorado today for preseason, and the team will have its first on-field practice on Monday, January 25 on the turf fields at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park at 10 a.m. MT. The players will undergo medical and physical testing over the weekend prior to the beginning of full-team activities.
The first team will practice at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park at 10 a.m. MT from January 25-30 prior to departing for San Diego on Sunday, January 31. The Rapids will then return to Denver on Tuesday, February 9 for the club’s Media Day, which will be held on Thursday, February 11. Mastroeni’s men will then travel to Sacramento to take on USL side Sacramento Republic FC on Saturday, February 13 (TICKETS) at 6:00 p.m. MT at Bonney Field. Two days later, the Rapids will arrive in Tucson, Arizona for the remainder of the 2016 preseason. The club will once again take part in the Desert Diamond Cup with matches against Swope Park Rangers, Houston Dynamo and Sporting Kansas City.
