Comcast Adds Altitude Sports & Entertainment to Lineup

DENVER Colo. (November 6 2004) – Comcast the country’s leading cable and broadband communications provider this evening announced an agreement to carry Altitude Sports & Entertainment to more than 680000 customers in Colorado starting today.

This deal will make Colorado Rapids games available via Altitude to all of Colorado's Comcast subscribers.

Altitude the new 24-hour sports and entertainment channel featured the Colorado Rapids as their first-ever sports broadcast of any kind and picked up several of the team's late-season and playoff matches.

The announcement was made by Altitude CEO Jim Martin and Comcast Senior Vice President for Colorado Scott Binder immediately following this evening’s Denver Nuggets-Utah Jazz game.

The carriage of Altitude is especially valuable for Comcast customers because beginning in early 2005 it also will include high-definition television broadcasts of select Denver Nuggets and Colorado Avalanche games. Reaching this deal enables our customers to enjoy all the live sports contests and other great programming options on Altitude but it also puts sports fans in the heart of the action through HDTV."

"We’re extremely happy to welcome Comcast and their customers to Altitude said Martin. "Both companies have worked long and hard to achieve this agreement and we greatly appreciate all Comcast has done in facilitating this deal. We’re also pleased that all our fans who are Comcast customers now have Altitude on their systems and will see the Nuggets and all of our other marquee events."
