Rapids fans,

Welcome to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park for tonight’s showdown with Real Salt Lake in the third and final leg of the Subaru Rocky Mountain Cup. These rivalry matches are among the best the league has to offer, and it always phenomenal to see the passion coming from fans of both clubs. We’d like to welcome the visiting team, staff and fans from Salt Lake here to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, though we hope to show them a Rapids win!

While the winner of the Subaru Rocky Mountain Cup has already been decided, tonight’s game is huge for us, as we look to break this losing streak and start a climb up the standings. Everyone in the entire organization, from the players through the front office, has been working hard to get results both home and away, and nothing would be greater than a win tonight against our biggest rivals. We know our players also depend on all of our fans for inspiration on the field, and we thank you again for all your support.

I’d like to take a moment to remind fans about our jersey auction – right now, we’re auctioning off the special jerseys that we wore in the July 4th game against Vancouver with the logo and a Colorado state flag across the chest. The proceeds from the auction will benefit organizations that support disaster relief through, and I encourage you to check them out on our website and place a bid.

Also, this week we announced our third annual Charity Classic Golf Tournament, which will take place at The Club at Pradera in Parker on September 10. The price is $300 for an individual or $1000 for a foursome, which could include a Rapids player or coach! Last year we raised over $25,000 for Kroenke Sports Charities, and we’re hoping to top that this year. I hope to see you on the course.

Thanks again for coming out tonight and cheering on our Rapids. We’re looking forward to bringing home a win tonight!

Come on you Rapids!
