It's not a secret that the "Harlem Shake" has taken the internet by storm. But it's doubtful that many of the previous versions had their main dancer be their Vice President. Or, that their effort resulted in a good cause.
That's exactly what the Colorado Rapids did.
On Sat. Feb. 23 several members of the Rapids front office staff and season ticket holders took the Polar Plunge by running into the frigid waters of the Aurora Reservoir to raise money for Special Olympics Colorado.
But before they got started, the club's Vice President of Commercial Operations, Jeff Jacobson, began the "Shake." Soon, the rest of the staff, fans, and mascots got in on the show.
Now the Rapids are taking this version of the Harlem Shake to another level.

In 2013, the Rapids and Dick's Sporting Goods are teaming up for a second consecutive year to support the Special Olympics' Unified Soccer team. This year's "season" will expand, featuring MLS teams from Denver, Seattle, Kansas City and Dallas.
