Colorado Rapids at FC Dallas | Postgame Quotes

Colorado Rapids Head Coach Pablo Mastroeni
Overall thoughts on tonight's game and his team's performance...
I think we came out and started off real bright. Obviously, scoring the first goal helps. I thought we controlled big swatches of the first half and the goals we conceded in the run of play were a bit strange, deflections, but results are something you can't control. Guys came out in the second half and really put their best foot forward, and got stung on another counter. We controlled the game, found ways to get forward, and found ways to get shots on goal.

On his team's second half defensive performance...
The first two goals of the game were kind of a bit strange coming out of run of play, but I think defensively we still have to tighten up some things. (Dallas) poses some threats, they have some speed up top and some wily players, and I think for three quarters of that game we did a really good job defensively as a team.

Colorado Rapids Defender Drew Moor
Evalutating the team's performance...
We've got to walk out of here with our heads held high. There were large stretches of the game we played really well, moved the ball well. Dallas is a good team. They had a game plan tonight, and got the goals they needed, but I think this a game we learn from. You hate to give up three goals. Obviously, it's going to be an uphill battle if you give up three goals, but I think we have to take the positives away from it and go into this break feeling good about ourselves.

On being back in Dallas...
Oscar and I know each other very well, and (after the game) I wished him luck and told him good game. I could tell he was fired up for this game. He had a game plan for those boys tonight. It's always fun coming back and playing here. I think I had a bunch of family and friends up in the crowd. It's difficult sometimes, you recognize everything. It still kind of gets to you a little bit, but I'm disappointed not to be able to get anything out of the game.

Colorado Rapids Forward Deshorn Brown
On the Rapids performance tonight...
I think we did pretty well. The mentality was to come down here and get three points, we were showing the effort and everything to get the three points, but I guess this is one of those days where nothing goes your way.

What did he see on his goal...
Drew (Moor) headed it down. I saw the defender marking me kind of asleep so I stepped forward and I saw the goalkeeper (Fernandez) coming across so the first thing in my mind was just to flick it back post and it just happened to go in the goal.
